» Darin Morresey, Installation Technician

Darin is a highly skilled technician with over 23 years experience in the industry. He has extensive training and experience in Telecommunications, Data Networks, Audio Visual and Security Systems.

Darin’s career began with the New Zealand Post Office (Telecom) in 1985, as a trainee linesman and he completed his Trade Certification in Telecommunications in 1989. He spent an impressive 18 years with Telecom, working in various positions from Radio Rigging to a Project Analyst, developing and implementing Mobile Solutions to the work force. Darin was contracted to EDS for two years, as a Network Support Analyst, supporting Telecom’s major computer systems and ensuring Telecom New Zealand’s systems were Y2K compliant. Darin spent his last two years with Telecom in the International Network Operations Centre, supporting Telecom New Zealand’s International Business needs.

From here, Darin travelled to London where he worked as a technician providing data solutions, telecoms and security needs.

Upon his return to New Zealand, Darin was employed by The Listening Post, as an Audio Visual Installation Technician. This involved extensive development and work in the areas of Audio Visual Technology and Home Automation. There, he became the Senior Technician, where he also was involved in consultation, project management and technical support for innovative design. In this position Darin was responsible for the co-ordination and installation of technology into one of New Zealand’s largest automated homes.
